A stand alone read with a HEA. A young woman, a serious writer, works for a magazine that is going from serious issues to smut. She is tasked with the assignment of writing an article on a new company, Playthings. They have a list of clients and every month they are sent a box of sex toys and related items to help them find their sexual self. The head of the magazine is a scorned woman and she wants dirt on the company. The heroine sets up an appointment with one of the owners to see what she can find. She is very opposed to this assignment and plans to resign as soon as she fulfills this last job.The new company is owned by best friends that each have their own special talent be it marketing, finance, etc. They have been best friends since elementary school, all coming from very poor dysfunctional families. Their company has taken off and they are now all millionaires. They are living the good life with plenty of beautiful women and lots of parties and sex.
This book is pure erotica. It is well written and you really like all the characters, except for the scorned woman!! The story is a bit far-fetched for me to believe but then I am way behind the curve as to what young adults do in today's world. Nothing bad, just a little wild. It is a good story, lots of wild, far out there sex so be aware if that is a problem for you. I enjoyed the story and I would definitely recommend it. A short read but it got the story told. It does have a HEA ending, it just didn't take you through the wedding and the first 3 kids. For these two, where they are is a good place to end the story. It would be hard to predict where this would really go. There are other owners that will probably get their own book in the future. They are all fun, gorgeous men so the stories should be very sexy.

I picked up this freebie and really enjoyed it. I believe this may be my first Tess Oliver book; I'll definitely look for more.
Georgie is a talented writer for Contemporary Life magazine and loved her job until Michael Vee retired and turned it over to his daughter Meredith. She is turning the once serious magazine into a sensationalistic rag, leaving Georgie at odds with her future there. When she is assigned to interview Meredith's ex at Plaything, a company that offers a monthly subscription service where subscribers receive a box of miscellaneous erotic toys, movies, and lingerie, it is clear Meredith wants dirt on the company and the four playboy owners. When the ex passes Georgie off to his partner Trey, Georgie tries hard to take this assignment seriously but the incredibly handsome man has her insides twisted and it isn't long before Georgie realizes she is sexually stunted and their is an adventurous woman dying to get out.
Trey Armstrong can hardly catch his breath when he first meets Georgie. He is able to see past the oversized glasses and hair tied up on her head and he is intrigued by what he sees. He quickly sees the loving and serious woman that fights against the insecurities she holds on to. When he proposes an arrangement that will give her the story she needs and give Plaything the free advertisement they want, he is surprised she accepts, especially when it will push Georgie way past her comfort zone. But at the same time Trey's body aches for Georgie, he is warned by his partner to not touch her for fear the situation could become gossip fodder in the magazine and ruin their reputation.
As Georgie explores her sexuality with Trey's expert advice it is obvious to her that she will never be good enough for a man like Trey. Will Trey be able to convince her otherwise?
The whole story would have felt more believable if the time frame had been a little longer which would have stretched out the length of the book. It felt too short to me. Otherwise, I was entertained by it.
A good no thought needed book. Just a good lay by the pool/beach drink in hand easy read. I just wish some authors wouldn't just end their books bam the end. No epilogue just the end. Invest in a book by reading it, I expect it to end properly. 2.5 star free with k.u.
After reading and loving Wingman, I knew I would read more books by Tess Oliver. I didn’t love Easy Come, but I did like it. This book is quick, fast paced, hot and enjoyable. But I didn’t always feel the connection between the characters. I do want to read the other books of the Plaything series one day, because I’m too curious about the other owners.
Georgie loves being a journalist and loved writing for a magazine until the owner was replaced. That new owner wants more gossip and rumors, so not the serious stuff Georgie writes. The owner gives Georgie one chance and Georgie wants to try it. She needs to find dirt on one of the owners of Plaything, but he has no time and that’s how Georgie meets Trey. Trey sees Georgie’s article as free advertisement, so he wants to please her. He likes her immediately and he has a proposition for her that could benefit both of them.
I liked the characters and I liked them together. Georgie is passionate, talented, loving and insecure. She isn’t happy with her job anymore, but she doesn’t know what to do about that. Georgie is attracted to Trey from the start, but she thinks that she isn’t good enough for him. She hasn’t had many boyfriends. She isn’t sure how to act or what to say to Trey. Georgie does become more confident and she feels more comfortable around Trey.
Trey is a rich and successful businessman. He loves his job and enjoys his life. He’s close and best friends with his business partners. Georgie isn’t like the other women Trey has met and he wants her. He loves to take her out and to get to know her better. The more he spends time with her, the more he likes her.
